News to Use in the Fight Against Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Hello friends,

Every once in a while, certain moments remind us just how special life is, and we feel an overwhelming sense of peaceful appreciation for our many blessings. Last week was one such moment. Just before a trip to Indiana and Ohio to visit with customers and partners, we received the exciting news that SaveHeart by HeartNation was named by MedTech Outlook as “Top AED

Monitoring Technology 2025.”

Pulling out of the driveway, I felt incredibly grateful that we received this honor. It’s more than just an award- it’s recognition that what we’re doing together with partners and customers is making a lifesaving difference in local communities all around the country.

And just like that, I wasn’t thinking about the award. Instead, my mind focused on the things that matter most: a wonderful wife and family, close friends, a loving God, good health, and the ability to do meaningful, fulfilling work. I guess it’s my interpretation of what Kenny Chesney called “The Good Stuff’ in his famous song.

This beautiful moment of clarity and appreciation was fleeting, as they always are. But I’ve found that these ‘big’ thoughts influence me to do a better job on the ‘little’ things that matter.

More than ever, I am extremely grateful to lead SaveHeart by HeartNation and work on a daily basis with exceptional people– colleagues, customers, partners, and supporters. You’re the reason that we exist. We all agree that SCA survival rates won’t improve by doing the same old things. That’s why we’ll keep investing in innovation, continuous improvement, and partnership, just like we did in designing and launching our exciting line-up of enhanced GEN2 outdoor AED cabinets.

From all of us at SaveHeart, thank you for standing with us. We’re just getting started,
and together the best is yet to come.

Schools Across the USA Expand Lifesaving AED Access Outdoors

Lewiston-Altura High School in Minnesota recently added an outdoor, monitored AED Tower to protect athletes and spectators during outdoor events. The SaveHeart by Heart Nation outdoor AED installation was made possible through our trusted distributor partner, My AED & CPR Solutions.

Further west, Sunnyside High School in Washington has tripled their safety, installing a SaveHeart Basic, Wall-Mount, and Tower AED Cabinet to build layers of protection across campus.

The school’s logo on the Wall-Mount and Tower
units increases visibility, strengthens school pride, and signals a commitment to health & safety for the larger community

At SaveHeart by HeartNation, we’re proud to support schools like these that are pace setters in the campaign toward heart safety on campus. We’re grateful for the partnerships and for their commitment to preparedness.

October is National Cardiac Awareness Month

October is National Cardiac Awareness Month

October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month. This is a time to honor lives lost and recognize the inspiring people who are leading the charge to improve SCA awareness, detection response, and outcomes. From nonprofit partners who work tirelessly to provide SCA awareness, heart screenings, CPR & AED training, and AED donations, to leading manufacturers, distributors, and trainers who provide essential lifesaving products and program services, we’re proud to partner with you in local communities everywhere.

We all share a lifesaving mission to change the status quo to eliminate unnecessary SCA death so that no more families experience the pain of losing a loved one to SCA.

Honoring Matthew Mangine Jr. with the Gift of Life

This October, the Matthew Mangine Jr. One Shot Foundation is inviting $22 donations to help fund the donation of an AED to a local school or youth sports program. The effort honors what would have been Matthew’s 22nd birthday, and fittingly, it comes during National Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month.

We here at SaveHeart by HeartNation support this celebration of Matthew’s life and we hope you will do the same.
