A Girl Scout student at Norwin High School in North Huddington, Pennsylvania recently completed a Gold Award project focused on improving access to lifesaving emergency equipment. Through fundraising and community support, she raised the money to purchase an AED and a SaveHeart outdoor AED cabinet, helping make the device more readily accessible to the students, spectators and community.
The project was celebrated with a ribbon cutting and serves as a strong example of how student leadership can create lasting community impact. SaveHeart partner Square One Medical highlighted the installation as a reminder that sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and that expanding access to AEDs can help strengthen emergency preparedness at schools and in the communities they serve.
